Following the same, he decided to conduct an official hearing on disqualification pleas on October 13, Shinde faction’s lawyer Anil Sakhare informed the media.

Uddhav Thackeray's faction sought the disqualification of several MLAs under anti-defection laws, as part of the ongoing political dispute.

Advocate Anil Sakhare, representing CM Shinde, addressed reporters and said that the Uddhav Thackeray faction sought clubbing of all disqualification pleas against 39 MLAs.

Shinde group opposes the clubbing of all petitions and calls for independent hearings, leading to differences in approach, Sakhare added.

The Speaker is expected to announce the schedule for the hearings, which are set to begin on October 13.

The Shiv Sena split in June last year, reshaping the political landscape in Maharashtra. After the split, the party name and symbol were given to Shinde group, while the faction led by Thackeray was christened Shiv Sena (UBT).
