Earlier on Thursday, June 26, the Indian Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, predicting heavy rainfall.
Amid the ongoing Mumbai rains, the rainfall recorded over the past 24 hours stood at 9.41 mm in the city, 7.67 mm in the eastern suburbs, and 7.14 mm in the western suburbs.
The monsoon in Mumbai is expected to intensify during the next few days.
