200 women police officers from North East to serve Guj: Modi

As proposed by the National Security Council (NSC), 200 women police officers from the North East would serve Gujarat on two years deputation by rotation, state chief minister Narendra Modi said today.


u00a0"Two hundred women police officers from North Eastern states would, by rotation, serve Gujarat on two years' deputation," Modi said while addressing senior police officials from 15 states in Gandhinagar.

During an interaction with these police officers, Modi said that an atmosphere of peace and development has prevailed in Gujarat for the last one decade, as the police force here has adapted to new work culture befitting the changing world.

He also briefed them about the functioning of various specialised state varsities like Raksha Shakti, Forensic Science and National Law and how they were instrumental in making the pass-outs employable for various types of job.

These varsities teach subjects and impart training in various skills fit for variety of professions, Modi told the gathering.
