Reel-life hero Jaggesh played a hero in real life when he shifted an autorickshaw driver hit by a moving train to hospital. The autorickshaw driver got a fresh lease of life after he escaped with his life, but lost his left leg in the accident at Bangalore City Railway Station.

Vijay Kumar (33) will undergo a series of surgeries at Victoria hospital after his accident. A father of two boys, one eight and the other three years old, Kumar said with tears in his eyes,u00a0 "It's better to die than be a cripple for life. I don't know why I am alive. I was going to Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) to meet my brother and one of my ill relatives. A train was coming to the platform and everyone started to run to catch a seat and even I was among them. I was pushed and landed in the middle of the tracks and the train crushed my legs. My left leg got cut in two pieces and the other was badly damaged. Jaggesh, who was there at the platform helped to shift me to the hospital."
Actor and vice-chairman, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), Jaggesh said, "It's Kumar's luck to be alive."
