To coincide with 150 years of Rabindranath Tagore's birth anniversary and this year's Durga Puja, the Jayamahal Sarbajanin Durga Charitable Samiti is organising a series of cultural events through the puja days. The theme being all things Tagore, you can take in an exhibition dedicated to the great Bengali poet. Tagore's correspondence with other great thinkers of his time, his personal doodles, sketches and paintings are being exhibited. You can tuck into dishes like Safed Moti Bhetki and Mutton Rezala made out of recipes that go back to almost 150 years. The Samiti has also created an open mic like set up called Muktangan where anyone can come and show off their talent onstage.

On October 15 catch participants of the music show Li'l Champs show off their lovely voices on stage. You can watch the artists of Dishari, a dance group perform pieces to Tagore's songs and incorporate the great poet's style of dance in this show on October 16. Zansam, a group bound together for their love of old Hindi film music will be presenting an evening of walking down memory lane through songs too.
