After much confusion over the appointment of the Superintendent of Police (Rural), Manoj Kumar Lohiya was finally appointed the new SP.

The state government issued Lohiya's appointment order yesterday evening.u00a0

Lohiya is currently posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 6) in Mumbai.

He had worked with the State Intelligence Department for two years.u00a0
