Amar Singh arrested, sent to jail

Amar Singh was arrested and sent to judicial custody until Sep 19 for alleged involvement in the cash-for-vote scandal that rocked the parliament in 2008

Earlier in the day the Rajya Sabha member and former Samajwadi Party leader cited health reasons to not appear in a Delhi court for his alleged involvement in the 2008 cash for votes scam, later came and moved for interim bail, which was rejected.
