BJP's Lok Sabha candidate from Pune constituency, Anil Shirole, was the most recent example of this forgotten ideology when he addressed a press conference yesterday.

On the one hand, he said that he was a person who believed in ideology of the party rather than an individual, on the other, he asserted that BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendera Modi was the country's only saviour.

"Even a small kid would tell that Modi wave has swept the country. He is the only leader who will rid the country of all its problems," Shirole said.

While the BJP candidate used the press conference to glorify Modi, he failed to discuss issues plaguing the city such as poor public transport system, garbage collection and disposal, among others.
