BJP veteran to be in Somnath on Ramjanambhoomi judgement day
Even as the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court is gearing up to deliver the verdict on the Ramjanambhoomi-Babri Masjid, Lal Krishna Advani is getting ready to travel back in time.

The chairman of the BJP parliamentary party will be in Somnath - the place from where he launched Ram Rath Yatra that culminated in the demolition of the structure in Ayodhya - when the verdict would be pronounced.
"Since 1990 I have been visiting Somnath every year on September 25 to seek the blessings of Bhagwan Somnath, the foremost among the twelve jyotirlings. This month too I propose to go there on that date. This year would be the 20th anniversary of my Ram Rath Yatra, which has been a landmark event in my life," Advani said in his latest blog.
The BJP veteran, who launched the party on the national scene with his controversial yatra, described it as a 'coincidence' that the Ayodhya judgement will come in the same month when he started his 'Rath Yatra' for construction of Ram Temple in 1990.
"What a remarkable coincidence it is that the Allahabad High Court has announced last week that the Bench considering the title suits relating to the Ayodhya dispute will pronounce its verdict on September 24...When in 1990, I decided to undertake a Rath Yatra from Somnath to Ayodhya where kar sewa had been announced for October 30, I decided to commence my journey on September 25," Advani said.
Describing 'the importance of September', the senior BJP leader said the birthday of his ideal role model for all political activists, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, falls on September 25. Advani said by and large party MPs have heeded to his advice on not making statements on Ayodhya case.
It may be recalled thatu00a0 Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had visited the famous Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh and offered his prayers a day after the civil nuclear bill was passed in the Lok Sabha.
