FM Sitharaman to attend MGR University convocation, to launch Sanskrit AI model in Chennai

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is scheduled to participate in a series of engagements in Chennai on Tuesday, including attending a university convocation and launching a new artificial intelligence-based language model.

Sitharaman will begin her schedule by attending the convocation ceremony of Dr M G R Educational & Research Institute (Deemed to be University) in Valappanachavadi at 11.30 am, officials said.

Later in the afternoon, the finance minister will head to Mylapore to launch the ''Sanskrit Heritage Model'' at the Madras Sanskrit College. The new AI-based large language model is scheduled to be unveiled at 4 pm.
