No matter how fashion forward they might claim to be for 90% Indian designers, it's Indian wear that brings in the rozi-roti.

No matter how fashion forward they might claim to be for 90% Indian designers, it's Indian wear that brings in the "rozi-roti". Varun Bahl, thankfully, spares us the charade and has no qualms about making a lucrative business out of dressing couples as they enter marital bliss. The Delhi-based designer unveils his bridal collection today, with outfit options for the Great Indian weddings' various occasions including Pooja, Mehendi, Sangeet, Pre-Wedding Cocktails, Wedding Ceremony and Reception. He will also spend the day interacting with brides and grooms-to-be.

We like: The fact that he is designing a special collection suited for Mumbai's summer, with a focus on bright colours like sunshine yellow and pink, and leaving enough room for traditional hues of gold and lame. Embroidery is mainly baroque with an antique finish.

Also on sale: Arti Talwar, Tarana Masand, Rohit Bal, Shantanu Goenka, Gaurav Gupta, Cherie D and the Ensemble Design Studio.

At: Ensemble, Mi-Casa, junction of St. Theresa and 28th Road, Bandra (W), today, from 11 am onwards.
