Gulshan Chawla, 29, had read a lot about biker gangs and how robbers on bikes go about their business. But unfortunately for him, Tuesday was the day when he would discover the horror himself.

The milk supplier, along with his brother, had gone to deposit Rs 3.30 lakh at nearby branch of Punjab National Bank in Vivek Vihar. "Even before we could enter the bank, two boys on a black Pulsar bike came from the opposite side and blocked the way for our bike," Gulshan told MiD DAY.

"As we have already reached there, I got down from the bike. One of the bikers then took out a gun and pointed towards me. He snatched the cash bag from my hand and they fled from the scene. It all took just two minutes," Gulshan, a resident of Jhilmil Colony in east Delhi, said.

According to the police, the assailants knew that Gulshan was going to deposit a large sum of money in the bank as they reached the spot just in the nick of the time.

"We have lodged a case and are investigating. The number plate on the bike was fake as we have cross checked the number given to us by the victim with the registrar office," a police official said.
