Authorities in Gurugram have advised corporate offices, government and private schools, and other institutions to encourage their employees and staff to work from home on August 25 following heavy rainfall and concerns over waterlogging and traffic congestion, reported the ANI.
The advisory was issued by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Gurugram, on Monday.

The district administration said further disruption could affect traffic movement and lead to congestion on roads.
In view of the situation, offices and educational institutions have been advised to allow their employees and staff to work from home on Tuesday.
The administration said the work-from-home measure is intended to reduce the number of vehicles on the roads and ease traffic congestion.
It will also allow civic agencies to carry out repair and maintenance work on roads and drains more efficiently without facing additional traffic pressure.
The Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram has appealed to residents to cooperate with the advisory and plan their travel accordingly.
The administration has also circulated the advisory to the District Information and Public Relations Officer (DIPRO) for wider publicity.
It has been sent to the District Education Officer and District Elementary Education Officer (DEO/DEEO) to communicate the guidance to government and private educational institutions.
The administration's guidance comes amid concerns over continued waterlogging and traffic disruption following Monday's heavy rainfall.
Residents have been advised to stay updated on local conditions and avoid unnecessary travel during periods of severe waterlogging.
Meanwhile, heavy rain lashed several parts of Delhi-NCR on Monday, causing widespread waterlogging, traffic congestion and disruption to flight operations, according to the IANS.
The downpour affected road movement across the national capital, while authorities in Gurugram advised offices to allow employees to work from home and schools to shift to online classes as a precaution.
In Tughlakabad, heavy rainfall led to around two feet of waterlogging at a Delhi Development Authority (DDA) park. Roads surrounding the area were also inundated, affecting movement.
Najafgarh also witnessed significant waterlogging following the heavy downpour, with several stretches affected by accumulated rainwater.
Heavy waterlogging was reported on Baba Kharak Singh Marg in the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) area.
Roads around Shivaji Stadium were submerged, affecting traffic movement and causing inconvenience to commuters.
Similar conditions were reported at the Zakhira underpass, where heavy rain led to the accumulation of water and disrupted traffic.
The heavy rain and adverse weather conditions also disrupted flight operations in the Delhi-NCR region, with several flights delayed or diverted, as per the IANS.
Authorities and civic agencies continued to monitor the situation as heavy rainfall affected multiple parts of the region.
