Install CCTVs in creches: BJP MLA in Maharashtra Assembly

A BJP MLA today demanded that CCTVs should be installed in creches, to ensure that no malpractices take place. Raising the issue in the Legislative Assembly through a point of propriety, Manisha Chaudhary said due to CCTVs, parents can watch movements in creche on their mobile phones. Creches should be set up in corporate offices, she said.

The BJP MLA also sought enhanced maternity leave for women. The Worli police in Mumbai last month booked a teenager for allegedly sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl in a creche. The woman running the centre had allegedly asked the boy, aged 16, to look after the girl till her mother returned and left the place. The boy then reportedly locked the place up and repeatedly sexually assaulted the girl.
