Lightning kills one in Thane

The incident took place last evening in Navapada following which the injured were admitted to PHC at Parali in predominantly Wada taluka, they said.

The victim, identified as Sakharam Mahadu Vazare alongwith others was returning home after the day's work when lightening struck all of them near Marichakat jungles.

Vazare died on his way to the hospital and police have registered a case of accidental death. The entire district experienced heavy rains accompanied by thunder and strong winds last evening.u00a0
