Belongings of a former BJP MLC, Pasha Patel, were today removed from the room that he continued to occupy at the MLA hostel here despite not being a legislator.

Patel had moved into the room B 92 in 2007, after becoming a member of the state Legislative Council (MLC).

However, he continued to stay in the room, despite his term ended as legislator in 2012.

Furniture, mattresses and other articles belonging to Patel were today taken out by the authorities from the hostel located in south Mumbai.

Talking about the development, Patel alleged that he was not given any notice by the PWD officials for eviction.

Patel is one of the popular BJP mass leaders in the state, specially in Marathwada region and has been in demand for addressing party's poll rallies for his connect with the rural populace.
