An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 was recorded in Nashik district of Maharashtra late on Saturday, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
The tremor was recorded at 10.00 pm IST at a depth of 5 km, making it a relatively shallow earthquake.
According to the NCS, the earthquake was recorded at 20.424 degrees north latitude and 73.682 degrees east longitude.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage following the earthquake.
The NCS shared the earthquake information on social media.

Officials said there were no reports of injuries or damage to property.
According to the District Disaster Management Office, the tremors were reported at Dalwat in Kalwan taluka at 3.38 pm,
Asarbari in Peth taluka at 3.38 pm and Borgaon in Surgana taluka at 3.40 pm, the news agency reported.
Officials said the magnitude of the latest tremors has not yet been determined.
Preliminary reports indicated that the tremors did not cause any loss of life or damage to property.
The officials were continuing to monitor the situation while gathering further information.
The latest incident comes after Nashik recorded nine tremors between July 25 and 29. The earlier tremors ranged in magnitude from 2.8 to 3.9, according to the PTI.
Following the recent seismic activity, a team from the National Center for Seismology (NCS) has arrived in Nashik to inspect the affected areas and assess the situation.
Officials said that the team will study the recent pattern of seismic activity and submit its findings.
Earlier, in July, several mild tremors were felt across parts of Maharashtra's Nashik district. However, there were no reports of any loss of life or major damage to property.
The Nashik district administration has stepped up monitoring and ordered inspections of vulnerable buildings as a precaution.
According to officials, the tremors were experienced in Surgana, Kalwan, Dindori and Peth talukas, the news agency had earlier reported.
The Maharashtra Engineering and Research Institute (MERI), based in Nashik district of Maharashtra, had said that the tremors measured around 3.6 in magnitude.
