President felicitates Indian Coast Guards on Independence Day

Six Indian Coast Guard personnel have been chosen for the President Tatrakshak Medal and Tatrakshak Medal on the occasion of the 70th Independence Day for their gallantry, distinguished and meritorious services, an official statement said


New Delhi: Six Indian Coast Guard personnel have been chosen for the President Tatrakshak Medal and Tatrakshak Medal on the occasion of the 70th Independence Day for their gallantry, distinguished and meritorious services, an official statement said.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Gurupdesh Singh has been awarded the President's Tatrakshak Medal for Distinguished Service while Commandant Radhakrishna Rajesh Nambiraj and Kuldeep Pradhan Yantrik were conferred the President's Tatrakshak Medal for Gallantry.

DIG Mohammand Abu Thalha, DIG Mohammad Atique Warsi and DIG Sanjeev Dewan have been honoured with President's Tatrakshak Medal for Meritorious Services. The awards are being given to personnel of Indian Coast Guard since 1990 on the occasions of Republic Day and Independence Day.
