New Delhi: An RPF constable was dismissed from service for allegedly misbehaving with a woman passenger in a train.

According to a senior RPF official, the accused, constable Rajpal, who was deployed on escorting duty in the women's coach of the Mussoori Express on December 5, was arrested and a case was registered against him, based on the complaint of the woman passenger.

The woman is a resident of South Delhi area in the capital city.

The complaint was taken very seriously and RPF Assistant Security Commissioner Bhawpreeta Soni was given the responsibility to conduct a fact-finding enquiry into the case, he said.

During the course of the enquiry, Rajpal confessed to his misbehaviour while being on escort duty in the women's coach.

The official said based on the enquiry report and records, Rajpal by his various acts of omissions and commissions is found to have violated RPF Rules, 1987 and so within a 48-hour period, he was dismissed with immediate effect.
