DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin on Monday alleged that the TVK-led government in Tamil Nadu would soon stand "exposed."
"Within just 10 days (of the government's formation), women, youth and the current generation (Gen Z), among others, have begun to realise the true face of this administration. As the days go by, those in power will undoubtedly expose themselves even further," he said at a wedding ceremony.
"Over time, many more truths will come to light for many more people," he added.
"Therefore, let us once again continue our fieldwork and service to the people. As our leader (M K Stalin) always says, let us work not only when we are in power but also when we are in the opposition. Let us strive not merely for those who voted for us, but also for those who did not," the former Deputy CM appealed to party cadres.
Expressing confidence that the DMK would return to power, Udhayanidhi said the party was not merely a political organisation but also a social movement.
"Victory and defeat in elections are common," he said, adding, "As a social movement, the DMK will continue to engage in public service, as it always has, and we too shall remain steadfast in this commitment."
Stating that everyone should continue carrying out public welfare activities under the guidance of party leader Stalin, the DMK leader said: "The Sun (party symbol) never sets; it rises again, and in its light, Tamil Nadu shall prosper once more."
