"We don't think that there would be mid-term elections in the state because Congress will anyhow manage to be in power and will complete its term," Tawade said.

He added that as Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan had been looking into the matter and ordered the inquiry into the on going scams in the state, he might be replaced with any other leader, but mid-term elections would not be held.

Tawade also said that the allegation made against Pawar would not be cleaned only by giving resignation. "A detailed inquiry should be done in this regard and the white paper should immediately be tabled by the state government," Tawade said.u00a0
