School teachers in Bikaner gathered to hail the operation, joining others in the country in displaying nationalistic pride. Operation Sindoor was launched as a direct retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians, including a Nepali national.

In Belagavi, Karnataka, residents took to the streets, bursting firecrackers in celebration of the military action. In the early hours of Wednesday, Indian forces executed precision missile strikes on nine terror infrastructure sites.

Lucknow witnessed people waving the tricolour with slogans hailing the Indian armed forces and Operation Sindoor. The operation was approved after a high-level security review chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 29 April.

Patriotic fervour spread through Prayagraj, where locals burst firecrackers and waved the national flag in support of the operation. Notable sites included the Jaish-e-Mohammad base in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba’s headquarters in Muridke, near Lahore.

A woman in Prayagraj was seen blowing a conch shell, symbolising a traditional call to battle and celebration of valour. The Ministry of Defence confirmed the strikes via an official statement issued at 1:44 am IST on Wednesday.

In Ranchi, BJP workers gathered to wave flags and burst crackers in tribute to the armed forces' response to the Pahalgam terror attack.

Streets of Ranchi were coloured in saffron, white and green as more groups joined in with patriotic chants and celebrations.

Bikaner once again saw citizens lighting firecrackers as a show of solidarity and pride in the nation's military response. Operation Sindoor marks a calibrated military response aimed at dismantling cross-border terror networks and asserting India’s security doctrine.
