Meanwhile, this advisory is being issued following the heightened security concerns that have developed in the region over the last few weeks

The embassy also urged Indian nationals to stay updated on the latest regional developments and adhere to any further advisories issued by Indian authorities

Taking to the X platform the Indian Embassy said  "In view of the security-related developments over the past several weeks, Indian nationals are advised to carefully consider the evolving situation before undertaking non-essential travel to Iran"

The advisory was issued after a significant increase in regional conflict between Iran-Israel, which began on June 13 with Israel's 'Operation Rising Lion,' involving airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear facilities

Meanwhile, for Indian nationals already in Iran who wish to return to India due to the tensions, the embassy has confirmed that commercial flights and ferry services are currently available for them
