Her last rites were performed at her native village of Dashavara in Channapatna Taluk of Mandya district in Karnataka
Speaking to reporters after visiting the late actress's home in Bengaluru to pay his respects, the Chief Minister stated that her death was "a major loss to the entire film industry"
Speaking about her career, Siddaramaiah remarked that "B. Saroja Devi entered the film industry at a very young age and dedicated nearly 70 years to it. Early in her career, she earned the title 'Abhinaya Saraswati' and became a versatile actress, working in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi films"
Moreover, following the news of her passing, tributes flooded in from across the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, Karnataka ministers, political leaders, and prominent figures from the Indian film industry all paid homage, acknowledging her lasting legacy and invaluable contributions to Indian cinema
