IN PHOTOS: Massive fire in South Delhi kills 21, more than 40 critically injured

A devastating fire at the Flourish Stay in Delhi's Malviya Nagar claimed at least 21 lives and left several injured on Wednesday. More than 40 people were rescued as firefighters battled the blaze in the congested Hauz Rani area. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire (Pic/AFP and PTI)

Fire incident in South Delhi reportedly killed around 21 people

Apart from the deceased, more than 40 people were rescued and rushed to the hospital

Officials said that the fire started in the Lemon Green Restaurant at around 8:45 am

Later on, the Police later clarified that the blaze was actually at the Flourish Stay B&B in Hauz Rani in the congested Malviya Nagar area

As per PTI, there are fears that the death toll might rise further as several of those injured are critical
