This is PM Modi's first visit to Israel since 2017

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, accompanied by his wife Sara, gave a warm welcome to the Indian PM at the Ben Gurion Airport

PM Modi is accorded the Guard of Honour upon his arrival. In his pre-departure statement, Modi said he was confident that the visit will further consolidate the enduring bonds between India and Israel and set new goals for the strategic partnership

During the visit, PM Modi is set to meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog, further reinforcing high-level engagement between the two nations

Modi describes India and Israel’s ties as a “robust and multifaceted Strategic Partnership,” pointing to growing cooperation across defence, technology, trade, and innovation in his departure statement

Modi will address the Knesset, becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to do so, a moment he calls a tribute to the shared democratic traditions of both countries

Ahead of the parliamentary address, the two Prime Ministers meet for detailed discussions aimed at expanding cooperation across multiple sectors at in Tel Aviv, Israel.
