The protestors alleged that the central government has remained silent on serious issues, including references made in retired Army chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane's unpublished "memoir"

The demonstrators alleged a lack of transparency in the India-US trade agreement and compromise on the country's security at the China border

Indian Youth Congress president Uday Bhanu Chib said youth are on streets, vowing protests until answers emerge, questioning PM’s silence on Epstein files, India-US deal transparency, and China border security

A row erupted in the Lok Sabha on February 2 when Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi sought to quote from an unpublished "memoir" of former Army chief M M Naravane on the 2020 India-China conflict, but faced strong opposition from Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other BJP members who accused the Congress leader of misleading the House

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla disallowed Gandhi from raising the issue, but he did not relent, and several opposition leaders also rallied behind him
