Nepal is facing a devastating flood disaster after massive flash floods swept through Himalayan valleys, killing more than 900 people and leaving thousands missing. The rescue mission has now turned into a desperate race against time, with around 933 hydropower workers unaccounted for across 11 projects. Hundreds are feared trapped inside flooded tunnels, with rescuers using heavy machinery and controlled blasts to reach them.
