31-year-old alleges that a personal trainer at an elite gym in Khar had been harassing her sexually, and that despite complaints, the gym's owner did not take any action
A 31-year-old woman has accused her gym trainer of molestation and says she will file an FIR against him today.
The woman, Jayshree Das (name changed), alleged that Nitesh, the trainer at a well-known gym in Khar, misbehaved with her.
She also said that the gym's proprietors have not taken any action, despite her repeated complaints, and instead asked her to leave the gym, if she wanted to.
Das works as a project manager with a real estate firm. She had enrolled for the special personal training at the gym two months back and was taking workout lessons from Nitesh.
"Since November, the trainer had been misbehaving with her and touching her inappropriately during the workout sessions," said Das's husband.

"We complained about the trainer to the owners but they haven't taken any action," he added.
Das told MiD DAY that the trainer frequently misbehaved with her.
"Nitesh has touched me inappropriately many times. I protested but he still did not change his behaviour. Then I complained to the owner. But she ignored my first complaint," said Das.
"I have written a letter to the Khar police station describing what had happened and will file an FIR tomorrow," Das said late yesterday night.
The popular gym in Khar is frequented by celebrities and charges a hefty amount for special personal training. Das had paid close to Rs 25,000 for her personal training.
"I again complained to the owners but they told me that they couldn't take any action as Nitesh served many high-profile clients who would suffer a loss if they removed him.

They even asked me to leave the gym if I wished. I have paid for the whole year for the special training, so I don't see why I should leave," said Das.
