Watch video: Chicken learns to walk again with wheelchair

A rescue chicken that was severely injured in a fight with another rooster is learning to walk again with a special wheelchair. Owner Darcy Smith said her rooster couldn't stand properly and had trouble eating and drinking until she procured a customised wheelchair from an Australian company.

The rescue chicken named Roo was frightened after seeing another rooster in the adjacent cage. So Roo got into a fight with the big rooster resulting in Roo breaking his beak in two places, bloodied comb, and swelling on his brain.

Darsy Smith told abc10.com, "Roo wasn't able to sit upright, eat, drink, or even crow until he got a special chicken wheelchair from Australia. He's able to move around in it, sit upright, and he eats a ton. He's eating a lot of food, drinking a lot of water, and it's just made all the difference."

In addition to that Roo also gets a foot massage.
