A group of capybaras wandered into the Mato Grosso state legislature in Cuiaba, surprising lawmakers who were preparing for a vote.

The building sits next to a park filled with wildlife, making frequent visits from native South American rodents increasingly common.

Staffer Nayara Bueno filmed the group of capybaras during their visit on July 30 and attempted to guide the mammals back toward their park habitat. Their visit caused no damage to the facility.
