Children living in China's Nizhuhe Grand Canyon now enjoy a much safer, faster school commute thanks to the new 945-foot Fuyao Ladder glass elevator.

Operating alongside the Qingyun Ladder, the elevator - combined with shuttle buses and a cable car - connects the canyon floor to Guanzhai Village Primary School.

The system slashes a treacherous, three-hour mountain hike into a seamless transit for local students. Around 20 children from relied on the steep trails and mountain routes to reach classes.
