NASA is developing humanoid robots like Valkyrie and Robonaut 2 to support astronauts on future space missions. Designed to operate in environments built for humans, these dexterous bipedal robots handle high-risk tasks, equipment maintenance, and routine repairs on the Moon and Mars.
By taking over hasardous operations and repetitive labour, humanoids reduce risks for astronauts, allowing crew members to focus on vital scientific research and exploration.
