New tech allows one driver to control five trucks simultaneously

Chinese heavy truck manufacturer SANY teamed up with Pony.ai to showcase a unique ‘human in the lead' autonomous driving system that can help overcome regulatory concerns while also increasing fleet profits.

This was the world's first 5G+automation+electrification demonstration for heavy-duty trucks, which have gone to mass production. It is not yet entirely clear what level of automation SANY plans.
