US President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced that the ceasefire with Iran "is over" for him. Speaking to reporters at the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) Summit in Ankara on Wednesday, Trump called Iranians "liars and sick people."
Trump's statement comes hours after the US carried out a new round of military strikes against Iran, targeting more than 80 sites in response to what Washington described as Tehran's latest attacks on commercial vessels transiting the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.

Iran hit back with strikes on Bahrain and Kuwait. On Wednesday morning, both Bahrain, home to the US Navy's 5th Fleet, and Kuwait, home to US Army forces, sounded missile alerts. Iran issued a statement acknowledging targeting US military installations in both countries.
Before the strikes, the US revoked a license that authorised the sale of Iranian oil as part of the deal.
