A deadly flash flood along the Nepal-China border has left at least 9 dead and 19 missing, cutting off the Rasuwagadhi-Timure region and crippling essential services. Triggered by heavy rains and a suspected glacial lake outburst in Tibet, the flood swept away roads, buried vehicles, and damaged key infrastructure including four hydropower stations and a dry port.
