Ukraine has launched its first-ever attack on a Russian oil platform in the Caspian Sea — a stunning escalation in the war and a major blow to Russia’s energy infrastructure. The Filanovsky platform, part of Russia’s largest Caspian oil field, was hit by multiple Ukrainian drones, forcing production to shut down at more than 20 oil and gas wells.
