Italian league officials have sanctioned Inter Milan for racist incidents against Juventus by closing the north end of the San Siro to fans for their next home game against Fiorentina.

The decision was announced by league officials on www.legaseria.it yesterday and means fans will be denied entry to the upper ‘green' section of the ‘curva nord', where the club's die-hard fans usually congregate for home games.
