Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini, who is furious with Carlos Tevez for his refusal to play against Bayern Munich, was once banned for six weeks during his playing days for the Argentineian-style bust-up.

His refusal to carry on sparked a furious touchline row with his manager ufffd future England boss Sven Goran Eriksson ufffd who eventually got him back on the pitch.

But within minutes of returning in the 1995 match he was sent off for rowing with the referee.

Manchester City has suspended Tevez for two weeks while the club probes his refusal to play against Bayern Munich in Champions League.
