South Africa completed a 5-0 sweep of the ODI series over hosts West Indies with a thrilling one-wicket win at the Queen's Park Oval last night.


South Africa completed a 5-0 sweep of the ODI series over hosts West Indies with a thrilling one-wicket win at the Queen's Park Oval last night.

For the Proteas, last man Lonwabo Tsotsobe got the winning boundary with two balls to spare as the visitors reached their target of 255-9.

Fine batting displays from Jacques Kallis (57), JP Duminy (51) and Hashim Amla (45) ensured the South Africans were always comfortable during the chase. Amla, who slammed three fours and one six, aggregated an impressive 402 runs in the series and the inevitable Man-of the-Series.

Windies skipper Chris Gayle took 2-38 from 10 overs to lead the West Indies attack, while all-rounder Kieron Pollard picked up 2-42.

Earlier, the Windies posted 252-6 off 50 overs thanks mainly to Shivnarine Chanderpaul (67) and Narsingh Deonarine (53 not out).
