Dubai: Pakistan cricket officials said on Saturday that fast bowler Mohammad Irfan was one of the three more players under investigation after Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif were provisionally banned in a widening spot fixing scandal.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said Irfan and two others had been questioned following the decision to suspend Khan and Latif and boot them out of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

"The PCB's anti-corruption unit is continuing with inquiries to root out corrupt practices and to safeguard and protect the integrity of the PSL. As a part of the investigations Irfan was also questioned. He does not face any immediate suspension. PCB's ACU has also questioned Shahzaib Hasan and Zulfiqar Babar," said a PCB release.

Irfan has played four Tests, 60 ODIs and 20 T20Is since making his debut in 2010.
