“I saw him [Cummins] bowling in the nets yesterday… he looked ready to go. I guess it’s all about the build up [of his bowling workload] now, and not so much bowling at 140kmph, because it looked like he did that pretty effortlessly,” said Carey

Australia's wicketkeeper Alex Carey said injured captain Pat Cummins is nearing a return to full fitness after the pacer completed an intense one-hour net session in Perth.

"I saw him [Cummins] bowling in the nets yesterday… he looked ready to go. I guess it's all about the build up [of his bowling workload] now, and not so much bowling at 140kmph, because it looked like he did that pretty effortlessly," said Carey.

Cummins is not part of Australia's squad for the first Test in Perth (Nov 21-25).
