Australian cricket vice-captain David Warner's wife Candice, a former Ironwoman and model, is slowly but surely realising that as age catches up with her, her confidence to wear skimpy dresses too is declining. "I used to run around in a cozzie for my profession all the time and I was so confident that I didn't even need to think about cellulite or a muffin top. But now as a mum I would never wear a two piece to the beach or even try on a bikini in a shop," Candice, a mother of two daughters, said on the latest episode of podcast Healthy-ish: Should you try a New Year theme or resolution?
"I have to mentally accept that I'm a mum now and have two kids and my body is different," she added. So how does she overcome her insecurities and live her best life? To that, Candice admitted she doesn't set New Year's resolutions because she simply can never stick to them.
"I can't stick to them and generally its things like not eating chocolate, but then after a few days I think 'I love chocolate, why would I do that?' I've always set goals, whether they're little ones or really big ones, and I worked really hard to achieve them," she said.
