AUS vs WI 5th T20I: Ben Dwarshuis claims three wickets, Australia seal series by 5-0

With the series already in the bag, Australia registered a win by three wickets in the fifth and final T20I match against the West Indies.

Having won the toss, Australia elected to bowl first at Werner Park. West Indies' opening batsmen, Brandon King and Shai Hope, departed on the scores of 11 and nine runs, respectively. Ben Dwarshuis accounted for the wickets of both opening batsmen.

Keacy Carty, too, returned to the pavilion on just one run. Despite losing early wickets, Sherfane Rutherford played a knock of 35 runs off just 17 deliveries. His knock included six boundaries and a maximum.. Later, Shimron Hetmyer smashed 52 runs, which came in 31 balls, including three boundaries and the same number of maximums.

Facing 15 balls, Jason Holder accumulated 20 runs, with the help of two boundaries and a maximum. Romario Shepherd and Matthew Forde registered the scores of eight and 15 runs, respectively.

Alzarri Joseph scored three runs, followed by Akeal Hosein's knock of 11 runs. Jediah Blades stayed unbeaten on just one run after facing three balls.

After removing the opening duo, Dwarshuis returned with the figures of three wickets for 41 runs in four overs. Nathan Ellis, too, registered two scalps. Aaron Hardie, Sean Abbott, Glenn Maxwell, and Adam Zampa registered one wicket each to their names.

Chasing a target of 171 runs, opening batsman Glenn Maxwell departed on the very first ball. Fellow opener, Mitchell Marsh, departed after scoring 14 runs. Following him was Josh Inglis, who returned to the pavilion after scoring 10 runs.

Cameron Green and Tim David registered the scores of 32 and 30 runs, respectively in their names. Green's knock came in 18 balls, including five boundaries, followed by David's knock, which took him just 12 balls to smash a boundary and four maximums.

Later, facing just 17 deliveries, Mitchell Own played a knock of 37 runs, which was laced with three boundaries and three maximums. After bowling heroics, Dwarshuis managed to score just nine runs. Aaron Hardie and Sean Abbott stayed unbeaten on 28 and five runs, respectively.

Australia successfully chased the target in 17 overs for the loss of seven wickets.

With this, they also sealed the series 5-0.
