Pacer has no fears while leading the India attack; all set for today's Indore battle against West Indies

The burden of leading the Indian attack against West Indies in the ongoing ODI series has fallen on R Vinay Kumar in the absence of Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma and Praveen Kumar. But the pacer who has shouldered responsibility, is enjoying his new role.

"It feels great to be leading the Indian attack. The new ball helps me a lot as I am more a swing bowler and the new ball helps me a lot," said Vinay on the eve of today's fourth ODI here.

Vinay, who has so far taken five wickets in the first three ODIs at an impressive average of 21.80, said that the track prepared for the fourth ODI appeared to be in the batsmen's favour. "There is some grass but it looks to be a batting wicket," he said.

He also dismissed suggestions that the Indian team was a bit down after the 16-run loss in the third ODI on December 5. "The loss has had no effect on the team. All are eager to play and do well in this game," he insisted.

On the other hand, the confidence in the West Indies camp must be sky high after their maiden win and they would be keen to end the tour on a high by performing well in the remaining two games.

"The morale of the team is good. So far, we have been coming close. It is about taking the opportunity, grabbing it and winning," said West Indies captain Darren Sammy.
