India pacer Jasprit Bumrah claims his first five-wicket haul in only his third match. His maiden fifer in the first innings helps the visitors bundle out South Africa for just 194 in reply to India's 187, giving the hosts a slim seven-run lead. The speedster's seven-wicket match haul then sets up a 63-run win for India.
There's no stopping Bumrah as he picks up his second fifer in consecutive matches. Returning from an injury layoff, he finishes with 5-85 to hand England, chasing 521, a massive 203-run defeat. The victory also puts an end to India's five-match losing streak in England.
Bumrah impresses one and all by returning match figures 9-86 - his best in Tests - in his first tour of Australia. The pacer with an unorthodox bowling action claims 6-33 in the first innings to help India bowl out Australia for just 151 after declaring their first innings at 443-7, taking a massive 292-run lead. Australia chasing 399, are then dismissed for 261, with Bumrah returning 3-53 in the second innings as India take a 2-1 lead in the four-match series.
Bumrah's 6-61 powers India to a seven-wicket win over South Africa in a match that lasted just two days. South Africa, already 98 behind India in the first innings, are bowled out for 176 in the second. That leaves India a target of just 79, helping them level the two-match series 1-1.
Hosts India enter the match under pressure after losing the series opener, but rise to the occasion. Bumrah's 6-45 gives India a 143-run first-innings lead. His match figures of 9-91 make him the first Indian pacer to be ranked No. 1 in Tests as India make a strong comeback in the five-match contest.
Bumrah leads India in the absence of skipper Rohit Sharma in the opening Test Down Under. After being bundled out for just 150 on the opening day, the skipper leads by example, claiming 5-30 to help bowl out Australia for just 104 and take a significant 46-run lead. India, in reply, declare their second innings at 487-6. Chasing a massive 534 for victory, Bumrah's 3-43 in the second innings ensures the hosts are bowled out for 238 to hand India a 295-run win.
