Kolkata: Bengal captain Manoj Tiwary yesterday praised state teammate Wriddhiman Saha for his effort in the second Test and said it was just a matter of time for the wicketkeeper-batsman to come up with a stellar show with the willow.

"To play such a beautiful innings and stand out from such a star-studded dressing room speaks volumes of Saha's performance," Tiwary said about Saha, who hit unbeaten half-centuries in both innings.

Saha remained unbeaten on 54 and 58 in two innings to earn the man-of-the-match award, his first in international cricket.

"Having played together for so many years, I always had confidence in him. It was just a matter of time that he played a quality knock. To have brought this at his home ground made this doubly special," Tiwary said about Saha's fifties, the stumper's fourth in 17 Tests.
