Australian skipper Michael ‘Pup' Clarke, currently recovering from a hamstring injury, would have been slightly disappointed at not featuring in Australia's World Cup opener against England at the MCG on Valentine's Day, but his wife Kyly had a touching gesture to soothe his heart on Saturday.

Kyly, who married the cricketer in 2012, posted a picture of herself planting a peck on his cheek on Instagram along with the message: "Only one person in this world holds my heart the way you do. Happy Valentines Day my love."

On whether her husband was still romantic after three years of marriage, Kyly told Daily Mail Australia, "Oh that he is! I really just enjoy spending time with him because he does have such a busy schedule and so do I at times. It's time you really want with you partner." Kyly added that she still feels like they tied the knot only yesterday: "Time has passed so quickly. The older you get, the quicker the years seems to fly by.'
