In the one-off Test match against Team India, Afghanistan has reached 98 runs for the loss of five wickets at tea on Day 3 at the Maharaja Singh PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh.

The visitors have played 29 overs and are still trailing by 314 runs after Team India enforced a follow-on. Earlier, the hosts bowled out Afghanistan for 152 runs in their first innings.

Opening in the second innings, Sediquallah Atal accumulated 42 runs in 80 balls, including five boundaries and a maximum. Fellow opening batsman Abdul Malik departed after scoring eight runs in 40 balls.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz registered 24 runs in 24 balls, which included three boundaries and a maximum. Facing 16 balls, Rahmat Shah managed to score just 13 runs, with the help of a maximum.

Captain Hashmatullah Shahidi was dismissed on five runs in 10 balls, including a boundary. Wicketkeeper-batsman Afsar Zazai is unbeaten on four runs in six balls. He has also smashed a boundary.

Team India's Washington Sundar has claimed three wickets by conceding 30 runs in eight overs. Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Siraj have also bagged one wicket each. Manav Suthar and Prasidh Krishna will continue the hunt for their first wicket.

IND vs AFG Test: Pre-lunch summary

Earlier, the hosts bowled out Afghanistan on 152 runs and have now enforced a follow-on.

Opening the innings, Afghanistan's Abdul Malik scored 16 runs in 18 balls, including three boundaries. Sediqullah Atal also departed on 17 runs in 27 balls, with the help of three boundaries.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz managed to score just 12 runs in 40 balls, which included a boundary and a maximum. Captain Hashmatullah Shahidi registered 20 runs in 48 balls, including four boundaries. Wicketkeeper-batsman Afsar Zazai was dismissed on three runs in 26 balls.

Facing 135 deliveries, Rahmat Shah smashed 60 runs, laced with nine boundaries and a maximum. Mohammad Saleem's innings ended with a three-ball duck.

Azmatullah Omarzai was dismissed on a 10-ball duck. Sharafuddin Ashraf also managed to register 11 runs in 32 balls, with the help of two boundaries.

Nangeyalia Kharote stayed unbeaten on one run in 10 balls, whereas Ziaur Rahman was dismissed on six runs in three balls, which included a maximum.

Team India's Manav Suthar returned with the figures of six wickets for 33 runs in 22 overs. Prasidh Krishna also bagged three wickets by conceding 37 runs in 11 overs. Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, and Washington Sundar are yet to claim any wickets.
