After concluding the longest format series, Team India and South Africa will now lock horns against each other for the One-Day International (ODI) series.
The ODI series will include three matches, starting from November 30th. The first ODI match will be played at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Jharkhand. The second clash is scheduled to be played Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Raipur on December 3. The ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam will host the third and final ODI match on December 6.
All the ODI matches between the "Men in Blue" and the Proteas will commence at 1.30 PM IST.
| Date | Match | Venue | Time |
| November 30th | India vs South Africa, 1st ODI | JSCA International Stadium Complex, Jharkhand | 1.30 PM |
| December 3rd | India vs South Africa, 2nd ODI | Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, New Raipur | 1.30 PM |
| December 6th | India vs South Africa, 3rd ODI | ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam | 1.30 PM |
The hosts will enter the series under the captaincy of KL Rahul. Team India's skipper, Shubman Gill, has been provided rest for the series, as he has not yet recovered from the neck injury that he sustained during the first Test match.
Gill's absence from the squad may provide an opportunity to either Yashasvi Jaiswal or Ruturaj Gaikwad. Considering the success of Jaiswal at the top in other formats, the left-hander has an edge ahead of Gaikwad.
Additionally, the KL Rahul-led Team India will also miss the services of their lead pacer, Jasprit Bumrah, considering the pacer's workload. Star pacer Mohammed Siraj's name has also not been included for the series.
Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, and Prasidh Krishna will see the absence of two pacers as their opportunity to deliver big performances for the "Men in Blue".
The series will also see stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma donning the Indian ODI colours. Their latest international outings were during the ODI series against Australia.
